Opera doesn't allow entering site with expired certificate (NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID)

I cannot enter website with expired certificate on Opera. In other browsers I have, I can just simply click 'Proceed to xxx' or something like that. Furthermore, Opera has this 'proceed' option in incognito mode.
Is it possible to enable such behaviour via flags? If not, why would Opera make our lives harder by deciding for us?

That's weird, With the same version I can access after clicking on "Help me understand" and then on "Proceed...". Can you share an example of a site that you cannot access?

@alobpreis Well, I'd rather not since it's company website. But what I can add and I should have said in the first place is that the website uses HSTS.
After some testing I am able to confirm that I can in fact access websites with expired certificate but I cannot those with both expired certificate and HSTS. However, on Chrome it is possible.

Interesting find. I guess the reasoning is that if the webmaster is careful enough to enable HSTS, they would also be responsible enough to not let the certificate expire.
Maybe you can find another public site in such situation? Googling HSTS and expired certificate returns many people with related issues. -
