      Dear all

When I try to paste Excel information to an email from Gmail using Opera GX, it's pasted as an image and not as text.

I read this forum (which is locked) but wouldn't work the solution (pasting value as text) as I need to keep the formatting from the source

Would you know how to copy and paste Excel data into Gmail email body in text but keeping its format?

        Interesting question.
For the record, when I just want simple text, I often press Win-R, paste, copy, and then paste in my destination (when it has no "paste as text" option). But if you want to keep the format, what worked for me is to paste into Word, copy from there and then paste in Opera or anywhere else.
I've noticed that the background color sometimes doesn't work. If you need to copy many cells, copying an Excel region will generate a table in Word, which may make copying the whole cell contents harder. If you double click, it selects the current word, and if you triple click, it selects the whole cell but with the "cell" itself, so it will also paste the borders in Opera. In this scenario I think you will have to manually select the whole contents either with the mouse, or by placing the cursor at the beginning of the cell (like with pressing Home), then Shift-End (selects the cell's border too) and then Shift-Left to un-select the cell border.

@marilet Gmail doesn't like Excel format. So you have to copy and paste your tables to google sheets (it keeps it format) Then, you can copy it again and paste with format on Gmail. Be sure to have activated html format on Gmail.
