@donq Yes, that is my hypothesis as well. I'd be happy to try "agent switchers (extensions)". But I will need more specific instruction. Which extensions would you suggest?

Sorry, I have no idea - have never used any. I hope some fellow Opera users will help; search forums too.

@albatrossity Screenshots, together with some context, may help to better understanding a problem.
Backing to it, when that message appears? It's just when you (try to) access the site?

@albatrossity You can try doing a test:
Go to opera://flags and search for freeze or reduce. You should see a flag called reduce user agent request header or something like that.
Enable it and check if anything changes. -

@leocg Yes, I don't see it at any other time other than when I try to access that site. And I have used Opera to access that site for years without seeing that message. And I don't see it with other browsers.

@leocg Thanks for that suggestion. Unfortunately it had no effect when I enabled that experiment. I got the same error message when I tried to access the site.
And yes, I relaunched the browser after enabling it.

@donq Sorry about the unclarity. Subject line referred to the subject of the opening post in this thread.

@albatrossity
Have you enabled VPN in Opera?
You may also clear cookies (and other site data) for particular website. -

@albatrossity Right, but it doesn't seem to be something from Opera.

@leocg Yes. I do understand that it is not an Opera error message; it is a response from the website server. Nonetheless it only appears when I use Opera and does not appear when I use other browsers to access that website. So I am asking questions on a forum for the browser that seems to be dysfunctional in that situation.
I tried the suggestion from donq to clear cookies for this site only; I'm already running a VPN and shutting it off or on made no difference in this situation. After clearing the cookies, I shut down the browser and rebooted the computer (both of which failed to help in previous attempts to fix the problem. That worked; some cookie from that site was apparently responsible for the issue.
Thanks for your help.
