Last Closed Tab

Hello there,
I am a big fan for Opera right from 2004 or 2005 when it was first introduced to me by my teacher.
Opera always had good features which was missing from other browsers. Till date using only Opera in my desktop or laptop. I feel I don't get complete experience without Opera as I am used to it.
The one thing which made me write her is about a missing feature in the latest version and that is the Last closed tabs link which shows the closed tabs from the time the browser was launched and running. It was very useful.
Also the Download tab had a neat layout and any files could be traced easily before and now it is all redesigned like the one which was in Chrome. Also whenever you click on something to download, it will have a Ask location dialog but now it automatically goes to the downloads folder just like the way it does in Chrome.
Can anybody point out if I am missing out on above mentioned points which are already present but did not notice it.

Which new Opera?
You could keep your old one as well and use both (as I was told).About downloads there is a topic in "Suggestions"*. Apart from that, did you try the combination "Ctrl+J"? I don't have a nuOpera, but in Google Chrome there is a possibility to open "all downloads" (from the menu).

Closed tabs are in the menu. Press the alt key to open it. You can open again closed tabs. Also, there are plenty of extensions that can give you the ability to deal with closed tabs. it's not a problem with Opera 24.
No need to revert to Opera 12 for that.

Where exactly in the Menu can you please elaborate. Also if you can use extension please name the extension.

Thanks

I am talking about the layout as in normal full screen window of the Downloads tab you can see only the last 3 downloads compared to the earlier one in which the downloads are just listed similar to the IDM software download list.
Thanks

Menu > Downloads (or Ctrl+J or type opera:downloads on the address bar) will show all your downloads.

Yes, click on the menu (or press the alt key) or Alt F (if the alt key alone isn't enough). Move the cursor on the menu to the item, "Recently closed," four items down from the top.
Now on extensions, if you still want one, you might consider SimpleUndoCloseTab, a Chrome Extension, https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/simpleundoclose/emhohdghchmjepmigjojkehidlielknj?hl=en
or UndoCloseTab
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/undo-close-tab-typed-urls/jglfehaddibdnfchgicahpdifopgihcb?hl=enThere's also the Opera Extension, SimpleUndoClose
https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/simpleundoclose/?display=enTo download a Chrome extension easily, you need the Opera extension, called Download Chrome Extension, https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/download-chrome-extension-9/?display=en
or Extension Source Viewer, https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/extension-source-viewer/
So either from the menu or via extension in Opera 24, it's a breeze to undo closed tabs.
On downloads, you may be to improve things with a Download Manager extension. In fact, an easy way to research it is go to Google, or your preferred search engine, and type "Download Manager Extension Chrome" and see what you come up with.
A possibility is Chrono Download Manager, though I don't know if it gives you the ask dialogue or not. You'd have to check.
