missing link popup on mouseover

I've been using GX for several weeks, but there is still one lingering issue I can't resolve.
When I point to/mouse over/hover over a link, I want to see where that link points. In Chrome it would appear in the status bar. On regular Opera, it is in a small pop up. I can't find how to enable this in GX. I hope I'm missing something.
I even tried looking for an extension, but didn't find anything I liked, and I don't want to have to run extra software for such a simple feature.
Does GX offer this functionality? -

@leocg does it exist in GX at all?
I don't have it, so if there is no way to enable it, I guess I have to use regular Opera or another browser.
I really like that GX limits tabs/windows that are not active, but it is unsafe not being able to see where links lead before clicking them.

@sgunhouse I see that functionality.
I have this page open in Opera and Opera GX. In Opera, it behaves like you describe, a popup near the mouse with the date and time, and another popup at the bottom left with the URL.
I then went back over to GX to test. I get the datetime popup. I saw the URL popup briefly in GX, but it was not in the same position. It was still on the left, but higher up as if being spaced above something. I hopped back into Opera and it was still working. Went back to GX, and it was gone and no longer works.
I'll do more testing and update if I find anything interesting.

Same issue. A week ago I updated OperaGX and now I no longer see the URL mouseover popup in the bottom left corner. There may be a workaround seen here: https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/comments/umj16g/how_do_i_turn_on_the_link_preview_thing_on_gx/
...but that would mean I can no longer open last session's tabs if I close the browser, which I occasionally do in order to restart the computer and install updates etc.
Help?
