I want all my bookmarks folder and links in root directory and NOT in My Folders directory

I also want folders in Unsorted Bookmarks, I have to go 3 menus deep to get to bookmarks.

Ah, you were talking about accesing them through the menu. You can just click on "show all bookmarks" to see all your bookmarks.
If there were folders on "Unsorted Bookmarks" then they would be "unsorted" anymore.

Anyone else finding bookmarks awkward to edit? With browsers like Firefox there's a right click menu that allows you to add folders etc. I sometimes like to have nested folders but there seems no easy way to do this as well as no way to delete folders unless you use the dropdown menu (shown in saudiqbal's post) and right click. I really hope a right click menu is added before Opera update the stable release as it feels a bit of a half arsed effort at the moment.

Opera needs to allow folders in "Unsorted Bookmarks" so that I can drag my folders there.

They also need to improve sub-folders in Bookmarks.
They way it works now when Bookmarking to a sub-folder is that it doesn't display the sub-folder.
So you have to save them in the upper folder, then go and drag and drop them in to a lower folder afterwards. -

Just enable sync in new Opera!

Building from scratch means that syncing isn't compatible with Opera versions 14 and higher ... yet.

Yeah, they need to get rid of that silly "My Folders" folder and also better support sub-folders.

Recently updated from Opera 12 to 28. This "My Folders" thing is kinda pointless. It should be removed!
