Okay so I watched a little the other posts and it is supposed to be an old password but they aren't working ? Like I never got asked to put a passphrase so I don't even know And i don't want to lose all my data (that already got deleted by recovery so i can't just re-sync afterward)

@ventus-exe Passphrase is an extra password that you set up to encrypt your synced data.
There is no way to change or remove it without removing synced data from the servers.
When a passphrase is not used, only saved passwords are encrypted, using your Opera account credentials.
So, if you change your Opera account password, you will need to inform the old one to decrypt the data with your old saved passwords. And that is the password (or passphrase) that Sync usually asks.

@ventus-exe l keep getting asked for a passphrase. I don't remember ever having created one. It won't let me sync without entering it.

The passphrase is the password used for sync, not the one you use to sign in to Opera. Though I am not a hardcore Opera user, I believe opera would allow any user that remembers their password to get the passphrase. Here’s something that I found on the web.
In your computer's Opera browser:
- Go to Settings.
- Click Advanced in the left sidebar, and click Privacy & security.
- Under Autofill, click Passwords.
I hope it helps!

@kanikavatsyayan Passphrase is an additional password that you can add in order to protect your synced data.
You login to Sync using your Opera account password, the sane used to login in these forums.
As far as I know, passphrase is stored locally, so there is no way for Opera to recover it.

@leocg Thanks mate! That's a great news to hear. I was afraid that I set some stupid phrase like 6 years ago and there's no way I can remember it, but since it's only registration data, even tho I had to change my Opera e-mail I still saw recent one(while changing) and easily can guess 2 more possible option that might be used.
