Lock files in Opera's profile directory

While snooping around my computer, I came across this: I got curious about it so I looked it up on the net but wound up finding nothing. There are many files within the Opera Stable folder with the LOCK file so I decided to upload it onto Virus Total. No AV flagged it as a virus so I guess that's a good sign but there were many people in the commentaries saying that it was a RAT. Basically, I want to know if I'm the only one with theses files on my PC or if it's completely normal to have them.

@ihaveaquestionplease It contains 0 bytes, of course it doesn't contain a virus - or anything else.
A lock file doesn't need to contain any data, the existence of such a file is a flag to other programs that this folder is in use and not to modify anything.. Many programs will use lock files when they access data,
