No Bookmarks, no sync.

I am a Mac user and was surprised to find after 4 years synchronisation is just as problematic between the macOS desktop version and the iOS/iPadOS versions.
It is clear that Opera has decided to focus on the Android platform rather than the Apple platform which leads me to wonder why ther are so many no specific instructions for signing in, syncing data.
The desktop (mac) version describes how to sign in and Sync data across devices but when you come to do that you discover that sync can only be performed between Opera Android or Opera Mini which no longer exists on the Mac App Store. The Opera iOS browser I downloaded from the App Store appears to be neither Opera Touch nor Opera Mini but "Opera browser: Fast & Private".although it incorporates the Fast Action Button which seems to be a feature of Opera Touch.
So It appears I cannot login on the iOS version and cannot sync anything except active tabs on Desktop and Mobile.
To top it off it seems there are no bootmarks on the iOS version at all. Fine for regular sites but that obscure page I found 6 months ago? No deal. I would need to go to my desktop and transfer the URL via My Flow which is convenient, no doubt about that but hardly a replacement for Bookmarks. -

@rodanne You could see your bookmarks on the online Sync website https://sync.opera.com

@sgunhouse Hey thanks for this, I had the same question and "starring" this in Opera on iOS works well enough.

As was said below, sync.opera.com, just star it and it's pretty much a bookmarks button on the home screen of your browser.
As for passwords what I did was start using Bitwarden across all my devices and browsers. That way I have all my passwords in Opera on iOS.
Yeah i wish they would have a full Opera version on iOS like they do Android, but this is the best I could come up with for now.

Just wanted to add a comment to encourage Opera to spend the time to create a full webkit browser based on safari for the ipad. Opera works well on macbook air M1 and my pixel phone but the ipad version does not reach the UX level represented by the other Opera implementations. I just switched to Opera from Vivaldi because it did not sync across all of my devices. I've come to realize that this is almost the same with Opera. Please fix this implementation.
