Scrolling through long web pages can be slow and tedious on touch screen smart phones. Opera has the nice quick scroll feature which shows up as an arrow button on the right side of the display. Activating this quick scroll feature is a bit cumbersome, one needs to scroll fast down or up a while before the button appears. Would it be possible to activate the quick scroll for example by scrolling on the very right edge of the screen and use the normal scroll when finger swipes the screen somewhere in the middle of the screen. This could be made configurable in the settings, of course.

@apola You can also just drag the slider on the scroll bar when it appears, though it isn't easy to access - and sometimes you hit it when you're not expecting to. As this is a feature request, moved to the appropriate section.

@sgunhouse That's right. My problem is exactly with the activation part. Seems like the quick scroll appears randomly when scrolling web pages. At least in my case the scroll gestures needs to be exaggerated to get the quick scroll button visible.

@apola That's like the idea of momentum in Physics - an object in motion tends to remain in motion. If you scroll a little bit, it stops scrolling quickly. If you scroll faster it will continue to scroll for a little while. And both the scroll bar and button are only shown while it is still scrolling. That's what they'd need to change - keep the button and scroll bar visible for a couple of seconds after scrolling stops.
