  • Very annoyingly, starting a few days ago, the scrollbar when I click on to a new page on Youtube just never appears. The white area in which it should reside is there, but there's no bar and the manual up/down buttons are greyed. This seems to happen randomly and always fixes itself after a refresh of the page.

This problem doesn't occur in incognito mode, and hasn't seemed to happen outside of Youtube; However, I've tried disabling all my extensions and adblock to no avail. Any ideas on what could be different between incognito and my normal setup?

  • I am still having this issue and it's very frustrating, I'm considering moving over to Chrome.

  • @sukadia If it's working on private window, then it usually means that an extension is causing the issue. Can also be a setting and/or a broken profile.

  • @leocg How would I fix that? I've tried disabling all my extensions to no avail.

  • @sukadia Try a new profile directory then. Before doing that you can try resetting settings and flags.

  • @leocg That seems to have also worked, is there anyway to import specific things like the settings, flags, and speed dial over through overwriting folders or anything? It'd also help out in pinpointing what caused the problem if it starts again.

  • Actually, it seems as though it's occured again. This is on a completely new profile directory; I changed some settings and flags to what they were originally and saw the problem has occured again. I then reset all my settings and it still occurs.
