Please add password protection for saved passwords in Opera for Windows.
I have lot of passwords saved in my Opera browser and anyone that uses my Computer can simply open browser settings and view all saved passwords, that is an serious security issue.
One solution would be if password category can be only open after password entering or clear view look on password of saved site after password/ pin entering.

The point is if you let a "friend" use your browser for short time he/she can just read all the passwords that are saved.
Thats an usual thing and no one logs off just to let a friend watch an website.

@victor27 No one should let others access their computers unless they know and trust the ones that will access it. If it's not the case, then a guest account or a secondary, limited one should be used.
in special situations where the third party needs to access using your OS account, then you should be there all the time watching that third party.

And you dont see here an opportunity to protect your users and make the browser more safe?

@victor27 It won't make the browser more safer than the current solution.
Also, the person will have (all) access to all files on your computer, so s/he can simply save the files with the stored passwords and try to get the info from there if s/e really want to store your passwords.
Anyway, Opera will (most probably) follow Chromium on it. So whatever Chromium offers, Opera should offer too.

Interesting, I always need to enter my computer password to see my saved passwords. Well, it does not ask again for some minutes, but then passwords will be locked again.
If you restart Opera, does it ask for computer password afterwards (when accessing passwords)?
(I assume you have computer password set.) -
