    Opera doesn't open due to lack of privileges

      Today morning I was using opera browser on windows laptop just like I have been doing the last two years and suddenly the browser crashes. When I tried to restart it it would not open and after a few minutes I get a pop up saying I lack sufficient privileges even though I am the only user on this device.
      I tried reinstalling and then it would work but the moment I sycned up my old data and closed the browser it would stop working again. I have been going through this cycle for the last 12 hours and am exhausted. Please help I don't want to go back to using google chrome 😞

        Already trying with a clean profile directory as instructed?

            @leocg Yes I've tried everything. If I make a new profile it will startup, but if I close it and then try opening it again the same issue happens.

                ok found the issue it has something to do with the in opera settings. I made multiple profiles and tried syncing one thing at a time and it worked fine every time except when I synced settings.
