@leocg so I tried using the webplayer link but it didnt work so I've had to disable the extension. It's worked fine for the last 4 months but after the last update it started having issues. Did opera change anything major during the last update?

I have an extension called dark reader which forces dark mode on everything. I've been using it for a few years now and I've never had any issues but after the last opera gx update somehow the extension is also working on the web player and whatsapp. If I could get the link for both I can add it to the exception list.

ok found the issue it has something to do with the in opera settings. I made multiple profiles and tried syncing one thing at a time and it worked fine every time except when I synced settings.

@leocg won't copying his profile from the old pc work?

@leocg Yes I've tried everything. If I make a new profile it will startup, but if I close it and then try opening it again the same issue happens.

Today morning I was using opera browser on windows laptop just like I have been doing the last two years and suddenly the browser crashes. When I tried to restart it it would not open and after a few minutes I get a pop up saying I lack sufficient privileges even though I am the only user on this device.
I tried reinstalling and then it would work but the moment I sycned up my old data and closed the browser it would stop working again. I have been going through this cycle for the last 12 hours and am exhausted. Please help I don't want to go back to using google chrome
