Opening a file instead of saving it

Is it true that Opera has no way to choose to open a file and to associate a program with it?
In Firefox I can open .torrent files just fine with qBittorrent, it caches them somewhere and hopefully deletes it for me once they're no longer necessary.

The lack of this pretty simple straightforward feature may be enough to make me go back to Firefox, anyone else feels the same?

If possible, you can use magnet links - they open torrent software directly (at least here).
