Opera for Android 61

We are happy to announce the release of Opera for Android 61(61.1.3076.56625)! This version includes an integrated media player with play queue support, and WebSnap (available in the page menu) - a feature for playful sharing of web content.

More changes:

• Chromium 86
• Easier access to the QR and barcode scanner
• Improved download handling
• Improvements to password manager
• Android 11 support

Why not add something less "playful" but more useful like being able to crop the captured image straight and without borders? As it can be done in Opera Desktop.

Other browsers can even capture the entire page.

I cannot upload files from my phone to any website using Opera for Android. For example, I cannot attach photos/files/documents to my emails, I cannot upload photos to twitter. Ive disabled the ad block and data savings, and Ive tried to use the desk top version of the website. All have failed.

Other browsers work on my phone.

This is my 2nd posting of this issue. I am not sure what happened to my 1st post.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you checked your Storage permission settings? You can do that from your phone's system, App info, Opera, Permissions, then Storage.

Tapping on address bar now shows 4 most recently visited sites instead of our top 4 bookmarks. How do I chnage it back ?

@miyukiwork Yes I checked and all the permissions were granted . I still cannot attach or upload any files to any website using opera for android on my phone. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

@leocg I posted an issue and it received no response. Im not looking to break any rules. I am only looking to solve my issue and use opera as I had before. Do you have any recommendations for my inability to upload photos or files to any website while using opera for android? Platform: Android 9

@leocg Does this mean that my type of UMX phone is not compatible with Opera for Android? Should I no longer use Opera and try a different browser?

Can you try our beta version? You can find it in Google Play (search for Opera beta).

That was a new change in this version. You can only disable the suggestion from Settings, Search, Suggested sites.

@miyukiwork Yes I have tried both the Beta Version and Opera Touch. Neither will allow me to upload photos or files to any webpage.

For example, what happens when you are trying to upload an image to Twitter? In normal, this is what happens:

1. Tap the new tweet button (+feather)
2. Tap the image button (mountains)
3. (allow permissions if you haven't)
4. Choose an action, and choose Files
5. Go to Images, then select an image

At step5, the selected image is shown under what's happening?

1. Not detect mp3 sources,
2. Not detect radio sources,
3. Not detect m3u8 sources,
4. Not detect any video online source, some sites show video like m3u8,
5. Can't save/preview any image by clickable (facebook, instagram, etc)
6. Can't auto login to sites with password manager from google passwords.
7. When i exit browser i want to delete everything i choose in the settings automatically, not manually.

I use Soul Browser & Video Box. All these browsers have everything i write up.

Were you using a UMX (unimax) u693cl phone???
