2 versions of Opera

i'm showing 2 versions of Opera on my computer. can i uninstall the older version without affecting my personal settings in the newer version?? thanks

@sgunhouse...no...It did not work, it uninstalled the newer version even though I selected the older version to be uninstalled

Uninstall the older one too. If it gives you an error, tell Windows to remove that entry if it asks. If it doesn't, open up regedit and remove the entry yourself. Look for the Opera key in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
orHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
depending on how you installed Opera.Then, download and reinstall Opera. (Always click "options" in the installer to make sure the install options are how you want them).

@ burnout...it worked!! i didn't do another uninstall, just went in to the registry (first option) and deleted the entry for the older version and it's gone. problem solved. thank you...Mike S
