As the title says, my browser started working ridiculously slow the past week, it takes like 30 seconds to open a link, to make a Google search and even to open a Youtube video, no matter what the action is, it takes like 15 times more time that it used to take. Even the Youtube video miniature that appears when you pass your mouse over the buffered line to see what's next is affected, it is white, and takes 30s-1m to load.
If I use Chrome I don't have any problem at all, so I'm making the assumption that it's something related to OperaGx.-Things I did the past week that could have cause the problem:
*Nothing out of the ordinary actually, I have crypto wallet extensions, multiple Youtube videos tabs open, I close opera with them open so I can retake on them tomorrow, I have like 4-5 videos open and in total 8 tabs every time with whatever I was watching that I decided I better keep it open so I can retake on it later, but it was never a problem, and overall, I did those things before the problem started and it worked just fine.-Things I did to try to fix this:
*Clear cache, cookies, everything in the gx cleaner, and not only the pas 30 days, I chose everything.
*I disabled my extensions (not uninstall them).
*I closed all the tabs.
*I did a clean boot of windows. My system specs are the next:
Ryzen 5 5600x
1650 Super
16gb (2x8) Ram 3200hz
SSD 500Gb (operating system, and have more than 25% space free, I have opera installed in here)
HDD 3Tb
Wired connection 100Mb/sI'll appreciate any idea of what could be causing the problem, thanks!

Try turning off the VPN. When I turned off the VPN, it became as fast as chrome -

Turning off Battery saving mode helped scrolling in map applications. Turning off hardware actually worsened it so I kept hardware acceleration on.

@payureal Running any browser as admin is dangerous, as it can allow websites to make changes on your computer. It also saves the browser's configuration files as owned by admin, which can make them inaccessible to a normal user. A good sandbox may mitigate the first issue somewhat, but I wouldn't want to rely on that.

Maybe try Re-installing the browser, and remove all user data during the process...

Opera GX is slow ever since last update.
When launched it takes long until Start Page is loaded (Opera`s Speed Dial).
YouTube page loading is extremely slow at times, it can even freeze tab sometimes when loading page, and not to mention bigger playlists. Before anyone suggests the usual, yes tried completely reinstalling, ran without addons, Opera Settings are the same as always (No Data Saving or anything that can slow it down.)
Like I said, it only started happening after last update.

Hi there folks,
a few days ago my Opera GX started running really slow for some reason, i've tried to google it but to no avail.
I have fewer tabs open that i usually have, so that's not it. I'm on a i9 9900K 32GB RAM PC, so that's not it.
I've tried closing a lot of tabs, zero difference. Restarting either Opera or the entire PC doesn't do anything.
I've disabled pretty much every extension.I really don't know what else i can do. Any suggestion?
Thanks

New user a few mins ago, and I was using Opera normal browser before using Opera GX, but even though it has a cool look, after 45 mins of usage, I was unable to open 2 tabs which I want to open.
Was so eager to move into Opera GX for the first time and this happens. -

Sometimes all the tabs open at once this is why the tabs are so slow.

Opera GX auto update is turning the browser lauching very, very, very slow.
I read some help in internet about this problem (and others derivated) and I like to suggest some solutions to agilize the problem-solving.
You can add options in Opera as
(a) at installing, do not load Opera Gx when the installation is finished (or give the option to load browser at install finish, but alert of the risk/peril about auto-updates)
or
(b) by default, do not update Opera Gx, but give to user a option to allow/disallow Manuals or Automatics updates
(c) offer links to download updates and make manual updates
(d) revert updates done, one by one (as a time-machine).II spent Much time to discover that the auto update was slowlinbg my Opera GX.
In my oppinion some changes - as that - would be retroactive, to older versions…
