The recently closed tabs feature is missing in 70.0.3728.0. Previously there was a workaround for it by enabling a flag, but that seems to be missing.
Please fix this soon as that was a highly used feature

It does show the 3 most recent, but previously it showed many more and did it in a more convenient drop-down

I Just do not get why they try to remove the one of the most wanted features.
I have 100 tabs opened and I wont search them at all.Only thing I need to search is closed tabs.
I need a chance to bring closed tabs back fast and this new direction you opera developers have taken is not helping it at all....

@laiskanoob You can always downgrade your install to:
v 69.0.3686.95 from 27-Jul-2020 13:25
I did that, but of course, I didn't pay attention and the auto update got me a couple of days ago!

+1 for not removing one of the better features of the browser. It's not just the closed tabs we lose, its the tabs on other devices too which is really helpful.
Please bring it back at least as an option. I have no interest in searching my tabs

This feature is the only reason i still use this browser. I even created an account to complain. I don#t understand, why you try to kill the only feature, that makes you a valid browser option. If the next update doesn't brings this feature back, i will uninstall opera. Till the next update firefox will be my browser. hopefully not forever. If you would really care about user feedback you would have stopped altering or killing this feature, when you first mate this list finite. make it endless or give me the option to set a max length.
In the current form opera is not better, rather worse than other standard browser
