"Clear private data" is showcasing our REAL downloads to be removed completely from the respective folder ! ..??
You should target >> "download history" & not the actual downloads !
Pl look into & introduce the necessary amends.
@miyukiwork
I can confirm that and agree. Or else, at the very least, there must be a warning.Blackview A30 / Android 8.1

You can disable the pull-to-refresh function by the following steps:
- Go to opera://flags
- Enable "The pull-to-refresh effect"
- Restart Opera

One more thing we would like to ask you to check. Can you go to O menu, Downloads, then tap the 3-dot menu "Download folder", then confirm your download location? If you don't mind, can you let us know where you selected?

@miyukiwork I cannot understand why you ask all those questions while a simple test can show what happens.
Wherever a downloaded by Opera file has been saved, Settings/Clear browsing data.../Advanced/Downloads(checked)/Clear data command, is going to permanently delete that file(s) w/o any warning.
Browsers, by default, do not delete downloaded files, only download history. Of course, you have to check Downloads item first, for the file(s) to be deleted and that item is unchecked by default.

Ok, so what it pointed out is about we are not showing a warning dialog before deleting download when you use "Clear browsing data..." feature? If so, unfortunately, it's by design now (as downloads are not selected by default).

@miyukiwork That's right! We know that but it confuses users the way it acts, resulting lost files.
A warning should help because, I repeat, browsers should not delete downloaded files but only download history.
Anyway, downloaded files should not be considered as "browsing data".
You may suggest that to developers. Thanks!

May be you can put a red outline across "downloads" entry that shows up under the 'advanced' pallette of - Clear Pvt. data ! ..?
The Red stimuli can help evoke a better response to cater to an impending emergency !
But seriously ...a quick comparison within the league (alike browsers) really make one ponder on how come this an anomaly went unnoticed within Opera for such a long time..?!
Time to introduce a Red beacon at the least ?..!

Huge problem. Opera app deleted all files from download list and also from main storage. How to restore?

@miyukiwork Typing "gmail.com" in the address bar is landing me onto:-
https://www.google.com/intl/en-GB/gmail/about/#
...& the resulting page is not responding to even repeated taps on either of these - sign-in, for work, get gmail ...??
I have my Ad-block enabled fully within Opera with no exceptions for acceptable Ads !
"Google" is my default search engine as well.
So why am I unable to access my Gmail a/c. via a direct link in the address bar ??
Pl suggest?

Does it work if you open a new tab and loading the same page again?

Here's what happens, on typing "gmail.com" in address bar.
It goes to... :
...the same address as yours, "https://www.google.com/intl/en-GB/gmail/about/#", and works fine.
Google is also my default search engine and I have Ad-block ON, fully with no exceptions, too.Typing "gmail.com" in search field of Opera home page, it goes directly to Gmail Sign in page.

This may happen by modifying the User Agent for the tab. Have you done anything similar? I can only confirm the issue by changing the User Agent.

@miyukiwork The default user agent is set to - 'mobile' all the time ...as confirmed from within the settings of Opera on my android 4.4
I would also like to confirm that my Smartphone has no issues over touch-sensitivity or dud taps in general.
Thank you.

@miyukiwork Attention spans have gone down drastically over these years, & hence we request you to kindly introduce - 0.75x & 0.5x within the 'video playback' settings for Opera !
So we would like to observe YouTube & videos streaming from other services out there in time-lapsed variants of - 0.75x & 0.5x please !
Help us assimilate the consumed content this way !
Help us gain more insight, more attention, more focus for the watched content from now on !

@miyukiwork How about the idea :-
Once in FULL screen = always in Full screen<< ?!
on each video to toggle the viewing section to FULL screen all the time !Can't we just Lock the orientation to display subsequent videos in only full-screen all the time ?!
Therefore do consider over any kind of - aspect-ratio lock, viewing-section lock or orientation freeze to bring consistency to our video consumption experience !
Thanks.
