Closing tabs button disapearing

Recently I noticed a very annoying feature when many tabs are open, and the close button disappears. It appears only if you move the mouse pointer over the tab. This is terribly inconvenient, especially when you need to close many tabs selectively. Is this a feature or a bug?

Technically a feature. It allows you to see more of the title. If you right-click on a tab you'll see an option to close all tabs to the right to conveniently close lots of tabs, Or Ctrl-click the tabs to keep and use Close other tabs.

It’s a bad and useless feature, to see 1-2 characters more, especially why if a hover pops up with a full header when hovering over a tab. But now you can’t quickly close one-click many randomized tabs. Will it be possible to disable this feature in the settings?

Actually my dev version behaves even worse - close buttons on inactive tabs are never visible (evn while hovering) and after activation, I need to enter (if activated by keyboard) and leave tab caption with mouse to see the close button.

This is some latest addition - maybe to prevent accidental closong of tabs (because they replaced quick tab reopening button with some unasked function).

I don't close tabs so often, but inability to quickly close background tabs is not welcome.

give us the option to turn this off.
