Where is the "Recently closed tabs/Tab menu" button on the top right?

@lynnpin It's not in Opera for Windows, so it can't appear there. In Opera for Computers, it is the first topic after the pinned ones.

Opera got a update today, which make opera://flags/#search-in-open-tabs disappear, and replaced with search-in-closed-tabs, and this flags wont bring my favorite recent close back......
Any way to enable recent closed tabs? -

@leocg I registered here specifically to ask to return the recent-closed-tabs feature. I use it everyday. It is much more convenient to press one button and have a drop down menu with at least 10 tabs than it is to either see only 3 or have to click two times to go to the menu-history.
As a moderator, please, consider reporting users' concerns to whoever is responsible for deleting this feature.
Thank you. -

Thanks, I see it now.

Are they going to bring back recently closed tabs or should we start moving from Opera? Because that was the main reason i chose Opera over other browsers. This post is not supposed to be like a threat or whatever, i am just old enough and have no time for BS like this one is. If anyone has any info please let us know

I found this article and took out an account because i followed the step of going to opera://flags/#search-in-open-tabs but did not find any entry for search in open tabs. is there something else that can be done. the search function is not something i would use.
It seems there may be no way to get it back ? i am running 70.0.3728.106

Wow, thanks to you, guys, I just found out about Vivaldi, and it's all I wanted in a browser: [No Caps]

@arqhugo vivaldi is made by the old guys that made Opera, Opera was sold some time ago to a chinesse group and since opera guys didn't like some changes the new group made, they started Vivaldi, its nice browser too, has some tinny problems that need to improve, but yeah, they have the old dropdown of closed tabs we all want,

@zaapa1 Vivaldi started years before Opera have been sold to the Chinese consortium, as a result of a business opportunity that someone who made money with Opera saw when some users showed some dislike with the change to Chromium.

@leocg ok thnks for the info, they must be pissed off right now then, since they also moved to chromium
-

@zaapa1 Who moved to Chromium? Vivaldi has always been a Chromium based browser.

@leocg If my english level dont fail me, You said Vivaldi did born to help those users who where not happy with Opera moving into chromium.
So how those users get happier with vivaldi if they are moving into a chromium browser anyway? -

@zaapa1 My bad, I should have said that they were unhappy to the consequences of that change in Opera.

If a Opera developer can read this: please, bring back the "Recently closed tabs" button!

@zaapa1 Vivaldi was made on chromium, but it was made to look and work as close to Presto ( the old opera engine) as possible, and adding additional settings and things along the way.

@medusanyc you can revert to an old version, try and use opera without the recently closed feature, but getting updates, or switch to another browser (the heavily mentioned here Vivaldi, or perhaps others).
Using versions higher that 70 of opera one can't bring it back no matter what. -
ericartman92 last edited by Aug 15, 2020, 8:54 PM
@123ms long story short - they won't bring it back. You can read a bit through this thread for some other possible options.
