I would like to OPERA on the Raspberry Pi.
I do not want to use data collection browsers and OPERA is secure in this aspect.
I also do not use Google. Funny that in the "land of the free" that such data collection is accepted without a murmur.

Did you ever happen to get this working? I tried following tutorials online but ran into some issues. I think it is because the pi is an arm based computer. Maybe we could compile our own? I’m really novice, without a step by step I’m at a loss!

As far as non-Google browsers, I do know Vivaldi has a version for ARM - and I'm sure Firefox does as well.

Re: OPERA for the Raspberry pi
When can we expect Opera for the RPi? I've been using Opera for decades now, and not having it on the Pi is crippling my experience. Please can we get an ARM version of Opera for the Rpi?

@sgunhouse Firefox does indeed have a version for Raspberry Pi. It's called Firefox ESR. It doesn't perform as well on YouTube as the native Chromium, unfortunately. Also doesn't block ads, which the native Chromium does.

@philjcrawford First, it's never a good thing to reply to a three years old post in a forum.

Second, Firefox ESR is not a version for Raspberry PI, ESR just means Extended Support Release.

Well, yes that is true, but sometomes one does not noticew the date.

No one said that Firefox ESR was a pure firefox version, merely stating which version was installed.
