[Request]Opera GX for Linux

First 2022 reply... Has development even started? Are Opera developers working on this at all? I'd like at least some update on what's going on. I don't even care if it's not done, I want to know if it is at least being actively developed or worked on... I know it's difficult to be done with something in a short time, I'm a victim of that myself, I just want to know if it is being worked on currently, or by someone. I've used Opera GX when I still used Windows, but had to go to Linux, and now I can't use my favorite browser. I'm currently using normal Opera because it has features I like personally, but man, Opera GX is just too good not to port over to Linux!
TL;DR: I want to know if Opera GX for Linux's development has started, or if it has been discontinued.

@superjumpbros couldn't someone just make an addon / extension / plugin for opera or a chrome / firefox browser that has the features of opera gx? im asking this because im thinking that this should'nt be that hard xD

I just created an Opera account to +1 this. Using Centos 8. It would be nice to have a fully-featured browser that I can put resource limits on.

Yes! I was about to say the same thing... I think it would be great for everyone, as Operagx would get a lot of attention among Linux users

@sgunhouse can you release in beta without the gx cleaner feature? personaly i'm using GX a lot just for the flow feature and the compatibility but I can't use it with linux ^^

@firefloc Me? Of course not, I don't work for Opera Software. But Flow should work in regular Opera anyway.. Tell them (in this thread) what features of GX you want to see in a Linux browser, and maybe they can try. (Not working for them I can't promise anything.)

Not having opera gx on linux is the only thing stopping me from abandoning win10 for linux

+1 For Opera GX on Linux. No need for RAM or CPU Limiter. Just please release it even as a beta or alpha becuase the UI of GX is just so much better than normal Opera.

Hello!
I would like opera gx for Linux as well. No need for the cpu / ram limit features. The layout, sidebar, flow, etc are all I want. If I had opera gx for Linux, I’d switch to opera across the board. The flow feature alone is worth it.
Please give us even an alpha, we’ll help make it better on Linux.
