Opera (and forum) problems

I have had it with Opera! On one computer, Opera opens in 42 tabs. In another computer, Opera hides my task bar.
And to get to this forum and post? It takes what seems like 14 steps even to get here. I used to like Opera but no more. And getting access to post on this forum is ridiculously time consuming and unnecessary.

You didn't say what the actual problem was ... some users have (and want) a lot more than 42 tabs. If you have tabs you don't want, then just close them.
And all first-time posters require moderator approval, sorry, We have a lot of spemmers trying to advertise their websites - the simplest way we've found to deal with it is to require moderators to review first posts.

You don't understand. I explained the exact problem, and this particular one happens only on one computer (Win 7). When I'd first open Opera, it would immediately open 42 blank tabs. I am not going to the trouble of closing 42 blank tabs.
Another problem is that Opera will suddenly hide my task bar and address bar. That's on my Win 10 computer.
I'm now using the Brave browser.

@dottie Next time please open different topics for different issues. Discuss two or more different problems in the same topic may cause confusion.
Regarding tabs being opened when you start Opera, did you check the On Startup section in settings page?
And what checking the system for malware?
