I need my oldstyle video pop-out. Help me please.
New one is so bad (can't see big and small pictures at the same time, ugly shadow at mouseOver, can't change volume etc.)

I fixed it at the past usuing
      opera:flags#video-pop-out-surface-layers

Useful link from this forum: opera 66 video popup has a limit in sizing, no controls, etc

Opera 67 (67.0.3575.31) broke it totally.
Oldstyle pop-out doesn't work at all (black screen). What can i do?

@molenin check this flag called -

Use surface layers in Video Pop-out and make sure it it is Not (Disabled)

if it is - set the flag to (Default)

and relaunch browser then try Video pop out again..

if that default setting does not work - set it to Enable

for me default or enable works for me..

Note - it will be the new Video Pop-out w/o the black screen.. *old style gone for now 😞

Thank you. I know about that flag.
You can read my post above, i wrote about it.

But i don't want to use "new" pop-out video. It's ugly as i said before.

By the way, I have to use 66.0.3515.115 for now with disabled autoupdate.

@molenin Volume change is already available in Opera developer 68, so it's just a matter of time for it to reach stable channel.

@molenin Regarding the video playing only in the pop-out, I guess it's just how it works in Chromium.

I think you are right, it's Chromium pop-out.
                I can't find any improvement compare with Opera-style pop-out.
It's worse every way. Is there any chance to keep original video pop-out? Can we send this thread to developers?

@molenin People from Opera read the forum.

Since the change is happening for technical reasons, I don't think we can have the old video pop-out back.

                    @leocg It's so sad...

Adding new features is a right way...
only if you can keep good parts from the past.

I believe that people from Opera can fix it.
Furthermore, opera:flags#video-pop-out-surface-layers is broken now and must be fixed anyway.

@molenin It will be removed sooner or later like other flags.

I have the same problem but enabling this flag changed nothing. Is there something else I have to check?

@nvmjustagirl thanks for the quik answer:)
Since I've updated Opera to version 67.0.3575.53 the Pop-Out player doesen't work anymore.
That means when the flag is disabled (like it has to be in the older Versions) and I press the button to pop out the Window the old Window pops up but frezzes shortly after that, the main Window (e.g. Youtube player) works properly.photo5420583009607855599.jpg

When the flag ist set on Default or Enabeld (like you said it should be) and I press the button to pop out the Window a black Window pops out in the right corner of the screen and the main Window turns black aswell but the Video contiues (I think so because the sound is still there).photo5418106668903935725.jpg.

I hope you have enough information to solve the problem.

@oelmensch i had older version but moved up to 67.0.3575.53..

works fine here in win 10

                              what windows ya got..

your 1st pic is right as to the way ya discribe it.. for old style

but 2nd pic should show video too besides just the sound

ya could try a new profile..

Updating to the new version seems to change nothing 😞 I'm running in the same problems as I did in the older version. By the way I'm using Windows 10. Do you have any other ideas or should I just hope that it'll be fixed anytime soon?

@oelmensch I found the solution there! I enable -Override software rendering list- and disable -Use surface layers in Video Pop-out-

it seems works fine on youtube and other streaming sites!
