@burnout426 Not any of the above. autoupdate, crashreporter. notification are crippling browser with all extras.
The current problem i realize is ...
MENU > MENU > MENU > what jumps in
css or js, jumping in to the right click menu and then
being disabled (probably with (new) CORS) then crashing whole browser.
Too much JS, CSS, additional supplements advertising agencies, supportive rich umbrella companies with their own agenda's.
I dont want disable extensions.
I dont want loads of other thing working in the background. As i said before permissions.
There is no reason you cant deliver zip/7z extract to folder and run in folder,
the process has become too complex over years trying to make everyone happy everywhere.I did want opera as my default browser but i did not want files distributed in either "ROAMING", "LOCAL" or anywhere else.
I wanted one "PORTABLE" browser. extract into folder "PROFILE" in that folder, delete or backup if necessary and make default.
What think you good citizen kane, khan, chan, dan da man, fan, pam, spam, da plan, mam, scam, ham an eggs, scan, han solo?
adhoc sic et al ad infinitum ad nauseum etc etc nb ... -

Are you saying that you tried the the new build and it still crashes? Are you saying you tried the standalone installation and it still crashes?

I don't know what you're talking about there. Step by step instructions or a video showing how to reproduce the crash would help.

I would test with hardware acceleration turned off. Goto the URL
opera://settings/system
, disable it and restart Opera. -
