In IE11 Internet Options there is/was a settings that enabled a click on a new link to immediately open up that new page without having to move the mouse cursor to the page one wants to see. Can't find such a setting in Opera? Is there one and if not why not if this browser is Chrome oriented? No offence intended - just a puzzled newbie to the browser.

@leocg Did you try it before you responded cos' there's nothing there that does what I want. As i said, in IE, if one clicks on the TOOLS button and then on Internet Options at the bottom of the page one gets to a new page where there is a Tabbed Browsing button., Tabbed browsing enables one to click on the box for second button down so that the browser will (quote) "switch to the new tabs when they are created". That means the new tab page is opened INSTANTLY that a right mouse click is done. All that Opera does is create a tab and nothing until one clicks on the new tab that is made. Got a better suggestion please?

@hugh-allen Sorry, somehow I managed to answer the wrong topic.
By the way, there isn't such setting in Opera.

@leocg Not to worry - but I have followed up my earlier question with more detail and would like an answer to that. I also suggest that it could be something that Opera to adopt/copy - if updates are ever issued?.
