How to retrieve lost bookmarks in opera 22 ?

For the 500.000th time I lost all my bookmarks again in opera 22 after crashing for the 600.000th time on startup while opening multiple tabs. Where are the opera 22 bookmarks stored, what is the name of the file and how can I load the bookmarks back in? Certainly not with bookmarks import because this gives the completely wrong bookmarks, not the original ones present on the bookmark bar before crashing. Is there any hope of restoring your bookmarks after crashing and as a completely logical consequence of course a subsequent treatment of chkdsk to restore your filesystem.

Don't you ever backup your profile? Go to youe Menu, and click on About Opera. The profile path is there. The folder where the profile is located is called, "Opera Stable.". There is a bookmark file in it.
Now I'm not sure when you say you lost your bookmarks whether that file has been damaged, corrupted, changed. A word to the wise though, when you have bookmarks, and everything is okay for a bit, save the profile in a flash drive, or on your desktop if you don't have one.
If this is the 500,000th time you've lost your bookmarks, you seem to be still going. What have you done in the past?

When you get crashes, do you get any error messages... either in Opera or in Windows' "Event Viewer"?

I would also think about running 'chkdsk /r or /f' or maybe some other hard drive integrity/error checking software. A check of the condition of your R.A.M (modules) might be worth investigating to (memtest86).
