Messenger and whatsapp log out after each session despite having checked the 'remember me' box.
Is there a way to disable cache clearing? If this is even the issue...

Did you set for Opera to "Throw away new cookies on exit"? If not, then some firewall or cleaner could be the cause. (Some firewalls can change cookies to session cookies, same as the setting above does, so they get removed when the browser is reset. Ccleaner and some similar programs can clean the cache and cookies when you reboot the computer.) Check the settings in whichever you have.

Indeed, unselecting 'Clear cookies and site data when you quit opera' did the trick.
