If not, then some firewall or cleaner could be the cause. (Some firewalls can change cookies to session cookies, same as the setting above does, so they get removed when the browser is reset. Ccleaner and some similar programs can clean the cache and cookies when you reboot the computer.) Check the settings in whichever you have.
