What exactly is the point of this topic again ?. Is it some kind of irritating protest ?. Maybe it's some kind of vague sarcastic response from someone who is some how trying to prove a point ?. Maybe it IS a genuine birthday wish to Opera for the support it provides it's users ?, if so, then 'Happy Birthday' Yay!. Or maybe they have nothing better to do ?.

I guess this is what can happen when people hang off EVERY word that is posted via a blog post or some such ?. Oh well, Maybe people shouldn't take everything they see/read so literally ?.

I guess snoopy was referring to the new bookmark manager in Opera 24 Dev build 😉

People who have become polarized in their views, for whatever reasons, do exactly what you've said... particularly in an atmosphere rarified of direct, "official" pronouncements. The lack of native browser bookmarking combined with fully-capable bookmark management is one of a number of things that have triggered a great polarization of some users, perhaps because those relying on them have woven those features in the old versions so intimately into their browsing techniques.

In the growing absence of an apparent return of such features, sarcasm and hyperbole is often all that's left to such folk.

So on the topic, was browser open speed fixed for 500+ bookmarks yet? If they where imported to speed dial?

Bookmarks are fine, speed dial - should be fine, it seems to be "lazy" at loading thumbnails (only loads the ones you can see right away, loads the others as it has time). That means if you open Opera and immediately open a speed dial folder, some of the thumbnails will be white with that globe on them. By the time you look at some website and come back, they'll be fine. Mind you, I still have no idea what anyone would do with 500+ speed dials, unless they have one huge monitor ... if you can display a 6*4 grid it shouldn't be bad.
