Looking at https://www.google.com/search?q=was+blocked+from+making+system+calls+to+win32k.sys, it like you're using Windows 10 and I see in the pic you posted that you're using Opera 63.0.3368.107.

In addition to the pages listed in the search results, I see https://www.microsoft.com/security/blog/2017/10/23/windows-defender-exploit-guard-reduce-the-attack-surface-against-next-generation-malware/?source=mmpc. It appears it applies to Chrome and other apps too.

            Thanks.
I'll let it rest. There is no simple solution for this.
            @leocg
            Temporarily disabling extensions is simple.
            Disabling adblocker okay
            but then ..
reset to defaults, whereas I see no way to save the Opera-settings first(?)

I have disabled the extensions and adblocker, exited and relaunched Opera. Still the warning shows up in the event log.

Thanks for the reply. I am using Emsisoft for anti virus matters and Windows Defender serves for Firewall.

As said, it is all way too complicated and one more or less has to be a Windows expert trying to solve the matter.

Being only warnings and no errors and everything is working fine, well, no use to spend that much attention to it.
Was hoping it would be some setting that should be dis- or enabled.

@mopw69 If you just rename the current profile directory, you can get its contents later.

Well, as first step, disable Emsisoft antivirus completely. If this helps, contact Emsisoft support - it would certainly be not the first time, when third party security tools interfere with legit applications.

@mopw69 Don't forget the main point of those instructions, that is to provide information to help understand and reproduce the problem.

Yes, I tried that as well. Regretfully it makes no difference.

Am very sorry, I am not an expert on this. I wouldn't know where to look and what to do. It sounds pretty much as a newbie, I know...
But I don't want to mess things up.
If my memory serves me well, way back, when I was still using Firefox (yes, it sounds like cursing here...) there was a way to launch that browser in a 'safe' mode, hence without all extensions, or whatever. More or less default.

@mopw69 You can find the path to the profile directory in Menu > Help > About Opera
