Is there a way to get the National Geographic Photo of the Day (an add-on for the Opera Presto speed dial)

to work in the Opera 22 Speed Dial. I mean, what could be so complicated about having a changing photo for the Speed Dial? I mean, a Speed Dial is a Speed Dial. No?
Maybe, somehow, renaming it? If I download the extension file at issue, here's what I have: "national-geographic-photo-of-the-day-1.1-1.oex"The only changing photo Opera 22 seems to have for the Speed Dial is the Astronomy picture of the day. https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/astronomy-picture-of-the-day-2/?display=en
There ought to be more extensions available for the Speed Dial with changing pictures, art, etc.

Talk to the extension authors. I have a weather speed dial, so obviously speed dial extensions can change their display frequently ... so there is no reason they couldn't show an actual slideshow from some gallery somewhere, not just a photo of the day. But not being a coder the actual details are not known to me. (Obviously you'd prefer the extension to download the thumbnail size and not the full size - some NASA photos are huge in full size.) An extension to automatically change the speed dial background may not be possible ... but would be interesting if it was.

Ok, I'll do that. I wasn't thinking of a slideshow, though that would be super -- just an attractive photo changing every day. I assumed that's what the extension did in opera presto -- gave a nice changing display where you get a good thumbnail of the daily photo, then click on it for a full-blown picture. And National Geographic has wonderful photography, so if we could get it working on the new Opera Speed Dial, it would be a good addition.
I had been hoping, maybe something simple like a change of the three letter extension suffix from .oex to something compatible with Opera 22 would be all you would need.

The Developer has written that he has submitted this National Geographic Daily Photo as an add-on/extension for Opera 22, and that it should be available next week. So that's something to look forward to for the Speed Dial. ☼ ☼ ☼
