      Hi forum,

For about a year, I have the following problem with Opera Mail:

      • Emails sent are only displayed in the "Sent" folder until the PC is restarted.
      • The eMails sent before this phenomenon emails are still there to see.
      • The eMails sent after this phenomenon can only be found via the search function.
=> The eMails are basically still there, just will not be displayed in the folder "Sent".

      To the version:
      Version 1.0
      Build 1044
      Platform Win32
Windows 8 operating system (upgraded to Windows 10 for some time)

Does anyone have any idea what that could be?

      Thanks and regards, Carsten

Click the "Settings for this view" button on the "All Messages/Sent" message list and turn off threading if it's on. Also, toggle "show sent" back and forth.

The reason to do that is that you might be hitting the bug where sent messages in threading mode don't show if you've never replied to the thread after that. I'm not sure you're experiencing that though as restarting Opera shouldn't make any difference with that bug, but check that out anyway.

The database and or index could be corrupted. You can check the database to see if it fixes anything, but no guarantees.

Besides that, you might have to rename your "mail" folder (see "Menu -> Help -> About Opera Mail" for the location), start Opera, set up all your accounts fresh and import messages from the old mail folder for pop accounts (in "store/accountN" where N is the number for each pop account as seen in accounts.ini). In this case, you use the "Menu -> settings -> import and export -> import mail -> import generic mbox -> add folder" wizard and set "import into" to the POP account you're working with. You'd also import your contacts (export them first before you do all this). Then, you'd have to enter your usernames and passwords again, and recreate all your labels etc. But, doing all that will fix things if it's a corrupted database and or indexer.
