@akita121 The problem is that TOR isn't suited for everyday use. It's good for protecting sensitive info (online banking, for example) but due to its very design, it's certainly not the best for daily use. Even VPNs have a similar issue, albeit to a lesser extent.

Why don't you update this extension to the latest version 2022.4.26_0 of duckduckGo? The one used by google-web-store has error messages: ( https://github.com/duckduckgo/duckduckgo-privacy-extension/issues/1205 ) , ( https://github.com/duckduckgo/duckduckgo-help-pages/issues/119 )

DDG sold out is now blocking access to politically incorrect material (AKA very biased to the Left). It also allows advertising from M$ in a sweetheart deal DDG struck with M$. It is time to find another search engine.

I downloded the extension for Opera, select DuckDuck as default search-engine, but... neverthless that stuff of Google always appears as default search-engine.

@ellinus1971 Search engine in start page/speed dial can't be changed. And only pre-defined search engines can be set as default.

@ellinus1971: Yes effectively they are very hassling had yo put up a fight to uninstall Chrome and I finally found a very good password manager app because google ask me my password 300 times a day I am presently adopting the passkey technology but not every website accept it yet.I navigate duck as an independent browser and it is great but I still love Opera.
