Hello!
Why 'Opera' identifies my phone model?
Android version should be quite enough.
I dislike this ''additional'' reveal of personal info, mostly useless.. -

Firefox did not reveal.
Maxton, Edge, UCbrowser, CMbrowser reveals.
With this info I am getting additional stupid ads related to phone battery.. -

@VKote It's not only Opera, other browsers and apps also do it.
In the mobile devices world, l guess that knowing the model makes difference.
It has been known for years that online merchants, including Amazon, show prospective customers different prices for the same product depending on their end device. The disclosure of the mobile phone model seems to serve the interests of the retailer rather than those of the user.

A side note from me:
A few years ago, there were security and privacy concerns about Maxthon and the UC browser. I don't know the current situation, but users who value privacy and security may be interested.

@yanta 🥺 so that is why. Logical actually. Someone with high-end phone might have more money, or debt possiblity.
