Why 'Opera' identifies my phone model?

A side note from me:

A few years ago, there were security and privacy concerns about Maxthon and the UC browser. I don't know the current situation, but users who value privacy and security may be interested.

It has been known for years that online merchants, including Amazon, show prospective customers different prices for the same product depending on their end device. The disclosure of the mobile phone model seems to serve the interests of the retailer rather than those of the user.
