Privacy Badger

@leocg: Thanks. I think the link you posted leads to the page for adding addons. But I think the answer to my question Might be that you can disable Privacy Badger when it displays its graphics on a website that has triggered its privacy-breach detection feature. I discovered that Disqus commenting system triggers Privacy Badger to block you from using Disqus, which seems consistent with what it claims to be able to do to protect PB-users' privacy. But I don't think I saw a "Disable" button. Also -- I don't understand what PB means by, "Did Privacy Badger break this site?" What does that mean?

As with HTTPS Everywhere, I consider Privacy Badger to be an absolute necessity. While ad blockers can be relatively up to the individual, this extension is not. The EFF outdid themselves with this extension. It's easily the most advanced tracker blocker I've encountered, as it doesn't just use definitions lists to block these trackers. The extension learns to block trackers, even if they're brand new, based upon their behavior. As such, this is literally the most advanced privacy protection extension you can get right now. If you use it in combination with an ad blocker, maybe even on top of Opera's built-in ad/tracker blocking, you'll be in seriously good shape.
Privacy is not optional, it's essential.

I cannot install the privacy badger. My OS is Ubuntu 20.04 and my Opera version is: 76.0.4017.177
The error message I receive is: "Download interrupted with reason: FILE_ACCESS_DENIED".
Is this problem a known issue? Regards, ellocco -

@ellocco: Try removing the "login.keyring" and setting the owner user and owner group of all your files in your user home directory to your user. Then restart your web browser.
rm ~/.local/share/keyrings/login.keyring
sudo find /home/[Your-Username] -user root -exec chown [Your-Username] -v {} ;
sudo find /home/[Your-Username] -group root -exec chown [Your-Username]:[Your-Username] -v {} ;
