I went to check to see if any new free games were listed on GX Corner but I can't find it after the most recent update. Was it removed? I hope not, I enjoyed using it to find interesting new games and it also helped me maintain a thread on GOG's forum where I listed free events/free weekends for everyone.

Glad to see it's not just me having this issue. Hopefully it's just a bug!

RE: Things that were already discussed/answered several timesOpera GX
Hi,
In light of DuckDuckGo's recent announcement that they're going to start censoring results, I'm hoping to switch to a different search engine. I've tried to add Brave Search as a custom search engine but the info I found when searching for help on how to set it up was quite old and I can't get the keyword to work. However, I don't like having to type a keyword at all. I like being able to just type my query directly into the search engine as I've been doing with DDG in the past.
Is there any way I can set up a custom search engine to do just that? If not, I suppose I'll have to stick with DDG but my trust in them was significantly altered after that announcement so I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how to get this set up properly so I can just go back to searching with the address bar via different search engines.

RE: AdguardOpera add-ons
This is genuinely my favorite ad blocker that I've ever used. I've used many of the major ad blockers and while all of them have done their job at least partially well, this one is definitely the best. It has the best selection of features and options that are available. It also functions as a guard against trackers if you enable the right filters.
Provided that you keep your filters up to date (you can change the update interval as you wish but I still manually update a couple times per day), it blocks virtually every ad and includes the ability to block those annoying cookies notifications, as well as any ad block prevention banners. Of course, those prevention banners also keep themselves up to date, so you want to keep your filters up to date as often as possible. But I digress...
This ad blocker is feature-rich, powerful, effective, it's not bloated and it doesn't cause any noticeable slowdown. I highly recommend using it in every browser you use. I use it over Opera's built-in blocker (though I keep Opera blocking trackers for an added level of privacy) on my main PC as Opera's blocker still misses some ads here and there.
Definitely give Adguard a go! It will help improve your browser's security, it'll help guard against invasion of privacy and it gets rid of the annoyance of ads!

Do workspaces take up extra RAM?Opera GX
I have four workspaces enabled on GX and I was just curious if they take up more RAM if I have more of them enabled, even if no tabs are currently active within them. I usually only use two of them at a time, but I sometimes do use all four when I'm really multitasking.
The reason I'm asking this is because I've noticed that GX tends to inexplicably use more RAM as time goes on, even when I close all tabs, which makes me wonder if there's a memory leak somewhere. I figured I'd ask about the workspaces thing, though, so I can know if I should disable one of them to take up less RAM.
Thanks for any answers!

@josuegrs Yes, I absolutely agree. More freedom and control is a good thing, IMO.

[Request] More control over filters on the "Free games" section of GX CornerOpera GX
Hi, I really love the Free games section in GX Corner as it alerts me to some really cool games to try out but I feel like we don't have as much control over the filters for that section as we could.
For example, I have never and will never subscribe to Game Pass (I'm against it in general) so I don't need to see any of those on there, so it'd be nice if I had an option to hide those. Another example could be the free weekends/free trial events that are listed there. Personally, I have a use for those but I'm sure there are many that wouldn't.
A feature like this would be incredibly useful to me and I'm sure it'd be useful to others as well.

RE: Is GX Control giving inaccurate readings for anyone else?Opera GX
@josuegrs Hmm odd, I'll try troubleshooting it at some point if it doesn't resolve itself. I mean, it appears to just be a visual glitch but still, it's rather irritating.

RE: The High CPU/RAM/ETC Usage Topic - Opera GXOpera GX
It must just be me since I haven't seen any other reports but since the most recent update for Opera GX, I've noticed that the browser uses a huge amount of disk activity when I try to open tabs while running an application that uses any significant amount of system resources. When I observe this in Resource Monitor, I've noticed it's a high amount of my disk trying to read a DLL, for whatever reason. It'll lock up my entire browser for a few seconds when this happens, though when I'm not running anything other than GX, it runs flawlessly.
Is this only on my end or is anyone else experiencing this as well?

[Duplicated] [Request] Please let us use other default search engines!Opera GX
After the news that DuckDuckGo is permitting Microsoft to track its searches, I firmly believe Opera needs to add support for Brave Search or, at the very least, Startpage. I love Opera (especially GX) but the fact that I still only have DDG as an option for "privacy-friendly" searches is frustrating. I know we can Technically add new search engines but I've never gotten that feature to work and I do most of my searches directly in the address bar anyways.
Please add the ability to select Brave Search, Startpage and other popular search engines as our default search engine!

@burnout426 Hi, thank you for your suggestion, I will give it a try in a bit and then come back to report what happens.

Can't make Opera GX my default browserOpera GX
- OS: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
- Opera GX Version: 82.0.4227.25
Hi, recently I noticed that Opera GX was no longer listed as my default browser for some reason. Before, I had it set to default but something changed the default browser back to IE.
The weird thing is that when I try to make GX my default browser, either by the browser settings, nothing happens. When I try to go through the default programs menu in Windows, GX doesn't even show up as an option there.
I ended up temporarily setting Firefox as my default browser for now but I primarily use GX which is why I'm hoping to be able to figure this issue out. Is there anything I can try? I also recently ran a virus scan to make sure that I didn't pick something up that changed things. I also haven't changed any OS settings recently and in terms of browser settings, I didn't touch any flags or advanced settings for quite some time.
Any suggestions to try? Thanks in advance!

Is GX Control giving inaccurate readings for anyone else?Opera GX
Hey all, after the recent update, I noticed that GX Control appears to be giving VERY inaccurate readings for my RAM usage. I don't have many tabs open, yet at launch, it's telling me that it's using around 10gb of RAM. I know this isn't true because I opened Task Manager to check and none of the individual processes use more than about 300mb of RAM and I have 16gb on my system in total, with only about 8gb being used right now (I'm running a game).
I just wanted to ask first to see if anyone else is encountering this before I actually submit a support thread.
