I love Bitwarden. I paid the premium suscription once and will pay it probably forever.

Please fix the the missing icon in the sidebar!
Also it's a great plugin, I use it all the time - saves me from having to open the desktop Bitwarden client. -

Many are saying that the icon doesn't appear in the sidebar, but you have to click on the extensions icon that looks like a box and the Bitwarden icon will be there, so next to it click on Pin and it will appear both in the sidebar and beside the address bar

@andersondarosa Not really, maybe you were able to make it appear in the sidebar but in my case, it won't appear even after pressing the pin button.

@andersondarosa Thanks!! I used to only notice it on the left-hand sidebar. But if you click the extensions box on the TOP bar to the right of the URL there is an option to pin it, and then the icon appears there.

@andersondarosa: That is great help. It comes for a few seconds and then vanishes in the sidebar. It is there on the top, though.

@rahuldoes same problem here... I can force it to show up for a few seconds and even try to pin it, but it disappears after a few seconds. Managed to do a screen capture: https://files.fm/f/48gq3gz5m

I find a solution: Switch To Firefox . Bitwarden Works there flawlessly.

I would have given it 5 stars but you can't set it to lock after non use only a set amount of time. So it will lock you out after that time whether your using it or not. Other than that, it's a great app and helps keep my info secure and easy to access.

@bigjohn999 mh, one of the things i like about opera is having the bitwarden extension in the sidebar, so i can leave it open and copy/paste data when autofill is not available. for every other browser, including FF, when you open the bitwarden extension from the top bar, you need to search for the password again after you copied/pasted the username.

Roll back to Opera Version 77 is the only fix for now:
https://get.geo.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera/desktop/77.0.4054.90/Don't forget to deactivate autoupdate via the command line or by renaming the autoupdate executable. Otherwise it will install the broken version as soon as you start Opera for the second time.

"Unable to auto-fill"...unable to prompt to save new password...unable to add drop-down list to the entry field
This thing canNOT be a replacement for Lastpass for Opera, and please don't tell me that I need to use Chrome or some other crap -

@greyreth Why do you think it can't autofill? - It can of course.
Maybe you are using it the wrong way. No need for a keylogger to prompt me to save a new password when i start to fill in the form in the bitwarden extension and then let it autofill the page. No need to type anything twice. You want long and secure randomly generated Passwords anyways, so why would you type new passwords all by yourself and not paste it anyways?
Lastpass, good joke! It has a long history of security issues, is closed source, not able to self-host etc.
It is mass-consumer software, just not comparable. -

@maksdampf - Because I often see the small red window telling me it can't autofill, while LastPass autofills, and prompts to save new passwords, and does other natural things in my Opera that Bitwarden refuses to do. That's why.
And, sorry, I'm not interested in adopting your methods, you definitely can generate new passwords for your email and store them on a sheet of paper in your grandma's cupboard if you wish. While most people look for an extension that autofills and prompts for new. And works well in Opera. And it's not Bitwarden, as we can see from numerous topics of complaints.
