      When I go over to settings>search engine and try to add Google it doesn't even work. All I have is Yandesk and Wikipedia for some reason? Please help.

        @maunten Did you already try the basic options, like using a clean profile?

            You can't set a search engine you add as the default. Only the included ones c an be set as the default. Google isn't included in your locale.

            You can try to work around it. Goto the URL opera://about and take note of the "profile" path. Then, close down Opera and edit the "Local State" file in the profile folder. You can edit it with JSONedit if you want. Under "Location", change the country and country_from_server codes to us and US respectively, save your changes and see if anything changes in Opera. I think that's how @sgunhouse said you can do it. If the trick still works, you'll have Google as an option.
