I can't make this work in version 60.0.3255.84 which was just downloaded automatically to my computer against my will. I need to run Opera without web security. I do:

      cd C:"Program Files"\Opera
      launcher.exe --disable-web-security --user-data-dir="c:\insecurebrowserdata"

which used to work. Not any more! ARRGGHHH!!!! What have you done? You've ruined everything! Or? Is there a solution? What can I do? This is URGENT!!! Please HELP!!

How do I disable web security with version 60.0.3255.84? If it's difficult or not possible how do I get back to the old version where it worked? Why do you force something on me that I don't want and which ruins everything??

That is a Chromium switch, so the first question would be: does it still work in Chromium, Chrome and other Chromium based browsers?

I did a quick search and it seems that there have been people with such issue in other browsers too.

So maybe it's a Chromium issue or change.

I wonder if you now have to enable chrome://flags/#site-isolation-trial-opt-out or pass in --disable-site-isolation-trials in addition to --disable-web-security.

Yes!! :))) You did it, mr Wonderboy! You solved it. Thanks ever so much! You saved my day. Now I do:

            cd C:"Program Files"\Opera
            launcher.exe --disable-web-security --disable-site-isolation-trials --user-data-dir="c:\insecurebrowserdata"

And it works again as before. Can't believe how lucky I am :). It's indeed a Chromium issue: I tried Chrome and it's exactly the same thing. I feared that the guys at Opera had disabled this OH so useful feature.
