Can't seem to get the back and forward buttons of my mouse to work with Opera. The same buttons work with Safari, Firefox and even Finder. Any ideas?
Many thanks

Same issue with mine. Im using Opera 60 on Mojave with a Logitech M720, in Opera 59 the buttons work just fine.

I have same problem. I have Logitech MX Master 2S and back and forward buttons work everywhere else except in Opera. The strange thing is that the buttons works in Opera in my MacBook, but not in my iMac.
I did a complete clean reinstall for my iMac, but that didn't fix the problem.

Same problem here since the latest update with the ugly highlighted address bar when focused.
Tried this already: https://forums.opera.com/topic/23068/instructions-on-posting-about-problems-in-opera-for-computers
Now I've lost everything and the bug still is not fixed. This is a very annoying thing, since I'm web developer and Opera was my browser-to-go... sadly unusable in daily work now

btw. the bug seems to be some cursor window focus recognition, since the buttons are working while having the mouse on the border of window (where the mouse cursor switches to the resize cursor).
Using macos high sierra.

@tonivert I tried to see if Logitech could throw in their penny's worth. They were convinced that the hw is at fault...I don't believe this to be the case. When I get a replacement mouse (2-4 working days) I shall report back. I've also tried programming the back and forward key with "command" + "left" and "right" cursor which appear to work as keyboard shortcuts but didn't work when I tried the mouse buttons.

Definitely not a hardware problem. I managed to get the back button working when the cursor was focused on browsers scrollbar. The problem is in Opera.

@tonivert Thanks Toni, that's good to know...once I get a replacement mouse I'll start trying things out.

Now tested it again and back and forward buttons work when you are resizing browser window, and mouse cursor is two-ended arrow. Either on side or bottom/top. But when the cursor is on top of browser window, buttons stop working.

In vain attempts to solve this, I can only say "me too". Forward/back navigation buttons not working only in Opera, start working when hovering over the window border.
- Logitech MX Master 2S, Firmware 12.01.0006 if it makes any difference.
- Macbook Pro, Mojave 10.14.4.

Same problem. This is why I do NOT want auto updates, or if you must have a way to revert back.

Same issue here
@opera dev team: can't believe this bug is still not solved, PLEASE fix soon or I have to go back to Safari

Can confirm this also happens for Apple Magic Mouse.
On Opera 59, I used to 2 finger swipe left to go back (configured through System Settings > Mouse). This no longer works after the upgrade to Opera 60.
