@sgunhouse Sorry but this thread is less than 6 months old and the problem is not solved if you don't install Logitech software. Forward and Backwards buttons works like a charm out of the box in any other browser.
In Opera buttons are working only while having the mouse on the border of the window.

Same setup and same problem for me.

btw. the bug seems to be some cursor window focus recognition, since the buttons are working while having the mouse on the border of window (where the mouse cursor switches to the resize cursor).
Using macos high sierra.
