Old bookmarks is gone?

I have reinstalled my Mac and downloaded Opera, but only the bookmarks in the bookmark lines is coming back, not the hundreds of other bookmarks I had before. Is it possibly to find them?
I don't think I before hadd an account before(have now), but what surprises me is that there might be some archive in Opera about my former use, since some of mine is kept now when I install Opera again. Is it not possible to find the rest then?

Bookmarks, or Speed dial? If you have the bookmarks bar then you should have bookmarks.

Was sync enabled before the reinstall? Did you make a backup?
