WiFi Login Page not redirected. But Chrome does.

Opera is showing an SSL-error when I'm connected with the hostel WiFi but not logged in. Chrome redirects me immediately to the login page.

Platform? Is Turbo or VPN enabled? The SSL error is because you're trying to connect to a secure site but are being redirected to the sign in page; the certificate of the network's redirection page doesn't match the URL of the page you were trying to load. If you click to continue (or "Visit site", whatever the message says there) it should load the sign in page fine.

@sgunhouse
Sorry for the lack of information given.
I'm on Linux Mint 19, Turbo is enabled and VPN is disabled.
That's how Chrome redirects me to the login page:
Opera says SSL-Error and that it's not a safe website (doesn't matter which website)
And I haven't found any pop-up or anything that could redirect me to the login page on Opera. -

@wilfredscat Does masking as Chrome with an extension or in developer tools or via the command line with --user-agent= make any difference?

@burnout426 Sorry, I'm not that much into using a computer to understand exactly what you mean.

Sorry. I meant to goto https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/user-agent-switcher-5/, click "add to Opera" and then click the icon for the extension on the right side of the address bar. In the dialog that pops up, click the Google Chrome icon under "Desktop Browse", click the Windows icon under Operating Systems and then click outside the dialog to close it. Then, try things again to see if it makes any difference. If it doesn't, goto the URL
opera://extensions
and click the X next to the extension to uninstall it. -

@sgunhouse It is more hidden but still there. At least on the latest Opera Version for Linux.
After I disabled Turbo, it is now working, but there should be a warning/hint/... to disable turbo if it can't be implemented to redirect to the login page.
