Mulitple Instances opened up on starting Opera version is 56.0.3051.52
It is slowing down the CPU

Opera - and other modern browsers - are multi-threaded. There will be one thread for each tab, plus one for the browser interface itself, plus the update checker. Though for some tabs there might even be 2 threads.
