      Dear Opera Team,

I use the newest version (56.0.3051.52) of Opera x64 for Windows browser on Windows 7 x64 SP (latest patches)

I tried my best to disable the „always prompt on file download“ settings, but it is impossible. How often is this settings inside opera and why is it so hard to get it disabled?

I have already set the following settings rebooted the machine and reopened the browser dozens of times after each settings set:

Please give me concrete advice how to turn this very annoying and persistent nag screen off!
      ---

      Normal Settings:

Content settings – Ask if website is trying add another file automatically after initial file (german) [DISABLED}:

Ask for file save location before downloading (german)[DISABLED]:

      Opera://flags Settings:

“prompt on risky downloads” – [DISABLED]

PS: Also tried this last settings “prompt on risky downloads” as [ENABLED] because I read in this opera forums thread it should be enabled for disable this annoying download prompt – with also no better result, the prompt is in both cases active (of course still after reboot of machine / reopen opera)…

As explained in other similar discussions, executable files will always show the download prompt.
