On May 19th Google introduced an interactive Doodle commemorating the 40th anniversary of the invention of the Rubik's Cube. I believe they wrote it in HTML5, and one can manipulate the Rubik's cube on screen. At least that is possible in Avant Ultimate using the Firefox engine or the Chrome engine (but not with Internet Explorer 10 'Standards' engine, nor with Internet Explorer 'Compatible' engine).

Not surprisingly, the Doodle does not work with Opera 12.17. But surprisingly (to me), the Doodle also fails to work with Opera 21. Has anyone else experienced this? I thought Opera 21 was using the Chrome engine, and so would work with anything Chrome would work with. Maybe I have a setting wrong somewhere?

      Thanks!

The link to click on is in this page. http://mashable.com/2014/05/19/google-doodle-rubiks-cube/

It works in Firefox and Internet Explorer. I'm getting more out of Opera 21, than out of Chrome, but it works in neither for me.

Get a smaller version to drag around, that's all I see. Whereas 12.17 drags the large version around.

I was wondering the same, but after trying changing the User-Agent to "Chrome" in Opera 21, the Rubik's Cube doodle worked perfectly. So I can ensure that the anomaly was on Google's side (again).

It didn't work last night in my Chrome browser. The only browsers it worked in for me were Firefox and Internet Explorer. Now you don't have to set User Agent to Chrome if you test the site in Chrome.

I tried with Chrome too and it worked just fine for me. Also tried with Internet Explorer 11 and worked (hardly). However, what I'm trying to say is that the problem is not from Opera's compatibility.
